The stars of Japan and the winners of the Gamers Without Borders charity tournament in APAC, Cyclops Athlete Gaming is certainly one of the most feared teams in the league. Having burst onto the scene in August 2018, the rise to the top has been slow but steady for this team. In Season 9, the team made it to its first Pro League Finals and gave eventual champions Fnatic a strong run for its money.
It did not take them long to make it to an international event, as both Aerowolf (now Giants Gaming) and 0RGL3SS (now Wildcard Gaming) fell before them in the Six Major Raleigh APAC Qualifier. While their performance at the event was not as strong as hoped, it was a big learning opportunity for the Japanese team and they have been virtually unstoppable in Japan since. Now, as they head into the APAC North Division, they are certainly not a team to be underestimated and will give a strong challenge to whoever they face.
