One of the longest-running teams in APAC, Cloud9 is one of the biggest international organisations as well. Having invested into the Korean scene over a year ago in April 2019, the team has not seen as much success as it would have liked. It is still the best team in Korea, however, having won very nearly every single domestic tournament.
Its roster impressed audiences at the Six Invitational 2019, pushing eventual winners G2 Esports to overtime on the first map before giving them a strong challenge on the second as well — all while still working part time. With the former APAC league structure somewhat limiting for consistent, top-tier opportunities, the Koreans will certainly be eager to test their skills against the top teams in Asia week in and week out as the APAC North Division kicks off in under a week.
